Viva Store
For the exterior of a new Viva Store in Santo Domingo, Bolivian architects Roca + Paz specified a Hunter Douglas aluminum skin. To animate the cladding at night, with changing light patterns, the designers chose fiber optics. The project installed and coordinated by Spectrolighting involved fitting a Microbraid sidelight fiber in the joints between aluminum plates. The system is controlled by DMX 512 with shows at programmed times.
